Change Charitable Trust

The motive of the establishment of this social organization is to work for the Prevention of Alcohol and Drug Addiction and rehabilitate addicts.

Domestic violence is on the increase mainly due to the fast spreading alcoholism and drug addiction. Consequently, the women have been tortured physically and psychologically. Normal education of children is weakened. Youngsters go out of hand of their parents. They are unemployed and they too become victims of addiction and other social taboos. Distortions of family life, divorce and suicidal attempts have been accelerated. Culture is degraded and the social harmony is paralyzed.

Creating healthy societies in collaboration with religious, civil, government and non- government organizations to make drug free societies based on human civilization.

OUR VISION

To build a sustainable infrastructure where victims of drug abuse aregiven an opportunity and a chance to rehabilitate and reintegrate to society as model citizens.

Therefore, this Association, as a social welfare organization in Sri Lanka shall adopt various programs and projects in Sri Lanka and execute and give effect to such programs and projects. Organization and execution of various projects for the welfare of various addicts, deserted children and woman who are victimized due to Domestic Violence are undertaken with dedication.

Assisting and giving support to social welfare organizations already operating in Sri Lanka is also our concern leading to integral development.

Establishment and maintenance of Treatment Centre, and also homes for the deserted and helpless victims who are victimized due to Alcohol and Drug addiction are to be considered.

Creating employment opportunities, relaxation avenues, and spiritualization zone for the young victims of substance use is to be prioritized. Positive thinking, value education, to youth and family, informal education to children care of the differently abled and the elders, individual growth and social transformation are to be deepened during the year 2023.
